05/11/2022 – St. Leopoldo Mandic

St Leopold Mandic was a Croatian Capuchin friar.

Because he was disabled and sickly he was not able to take part in many of the activities of his monastery.

To him this was a great grace because this allowed him to spend many hours everyday in the confessional praying his rosary and offering Jesus’ forgiveness to countless penitents.

He knew from experience and often told people: “every time I pray a Hail Mary, the Heavens are smiling, the Angels rejoice, the Universe is calling, hell trembles, the devil flees.”
