05/26/2022 – Servant of God Rebeca Rocamora Nadal
Servant of God, Rebeca Rocamora Nadal died surrounded by the rosary 26 years ago today. Many people who were blessed to know her and be changed by her example are still alive today.
Rebeca loved life. She was fun and like many lively girls she was full of plans. But as God’s plan for her life unfolded, she was quick to embrace His Will. She loved the rosary. Contemplating its mysteries deeply she was able to draw on the Blessed Virgin’s “Be it done unto me according to thy word,”and Jesus’ “Not My Will but Thine be done,” when she was faced with cancer.
Rebeca died at age 20. For the last decade of her life she deteriorated physically but grew stronger and stronger spiritually. She developed such a desire to share her love of Jesus and Mary and save souls that all her joys and suffering were offered in her many rosaries. It was she that encouraged those around them, inviting them to share her joy and assuring them that she would pray for them from heaven.
