06/22/2022 – St.Cardinal John Fischer and St Thomas Moore

St Therese the Little Flower said:

“The Rosary is a long chain that links heaven and earth. One end of it is in our hands and the other is in the hand of the Holy Virgin.”

We celebrate today St Cardinal John Fischer and St Thomas More, both imprisoned in the Tower of London for refusing to sign King Henry VIII’s Oath of Supremacy.

In the tower far above the busy city and removed from the intrigues of the palace, the rosary was indeed their link to the Blessed Virgin.

In their isolation, praying their rosaries, they were able to seek forgiveness for the malice of the royal court from Jesus in the heavenly court where as martyrs they were soon to serve.
