“Men Hold Rosary Rallies: Police Join In

Large crowds of young men in more than 25 Polish cities took part in Rosary processions on May 1, for the Feast Day of St. Joseph.

In Krakow the Catholics knelt on the street despite the rain.

In Warsaw the prayer was spontaneously joined by police forces.”

Men in Ireland did the same last Saturday, and men will pray the Rosary again on their knees in Newry on the First Saturday in November (Nov 6th!).

This year is the Year of St Joseph. Today is the First Wednesday and today we especially honour the Chaste Heart of St Joseph. In approved apparitions in Brazil, St Joseph revealed that his heart is honoured on First Wednesday when we pray the Joyful Mysteries. Pope Francis has granted a special plenary indulgence under the usual conditions to the faithful who pray to St Joseph and/or visit a shrine of St Joseph. So today let us give St Joseph the prayer he has asked for, the Joyful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary.

P.S. Don’t forget we have the Hail Holy Queen Conference live on Radio Maria from 2pm on Saturday. Speakers include Bishop John Keenan, Dr Blythe Kaufman, Fr Gerry McCloskey, Dr Patrick Kenny and Fr Marius O’Reilly. Please spread the word. The Coastal Rosary is then on the following day (Sunday at 2.30pm).
