11/06/2021 – Feast Days
This year the feast of All the Saints of Ireland falls on the First Saturday, a day especially devoted to Mary and to her rosary.
This is particularly appropriate because a love of the rosary has been a notable characteristic of so many Irish saints, both recognised and unrecognised like our friends and family members who now enjoy God in heaven.
This should surprise us because the rosary is a saint maker. Frank Duff founder of the Legion of Mary (100 years ago) assures us of this in his wonderful book “Can we be Saints” saying that “Every word of the Rosary is a prayer to God!”
Blessed Carlos Acutis called the Rosary, his “short stairway to heaven”. See less
